SEPTEMBER 2018 - ODLO MOVING ‘ONE STEP AHEAD’ WITH A NEW EXECUTIVE AND SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Under the new leadership of Knut Are Høgberg, Odlo’s CEO, additional changes to the organization have taken place. To achieve the mandate of strengthening Odlo and achieving continuous profitable growth, the overall Management Team organization has been adjusted.
The new Executive Management Team will consist of Knut Are Høgberg (Chief Executive Officer), Adrian Schürmann (Chief Finance Officer) and Barbara Hösli (Chief Human Resources Officer). We are extremely proud to name the first woman to our Executive Management Team in our 72-year history.
In addition, effective 1st of September 2018, Odlo has promoted the following leaders to the new Senior Management Team: Timo Pape (Brand Director), Christophe Schlenker (Commercial Operations Director), Daniel Mulvie (Supply Chain Management Director), Pascal Schweizer (Sales Director DACH), Cédric Georges (Sales Director Europe South & BENE) and Phil Weston (Sales Director International Markets). We are excited to empower a new generation of managers to drive and modernize our company in the coming years.
The new management set-up with the three regional sales directors will drive executional excellence at Odlo. Therefore, the current CSO role is redundant and Antoine Sathicq will be leaving the organization. He will stay with Odlo for the next few months supporting the transition and finalizing important projects. During Antoine’s tenure of the last three years, Odlo has achieved great growth. He was an integral part in bringing credibility back to Odlo with our wholesale partners. We like to thank him for his commercial abilities and tireless efforts.
JULY 2018 - KNUT ARE HØGBERG NAMED ODLO’S NEW CEO FOLLOWING CHRISTOPHE BÉZU
Knut Are Høgberg, currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, will become ODLO’s next CEO effective middle of July. He will replace Christophe Bézu who led the company in its current turnaround. Mr Høgberg’s task is to continue to strengthen ODLO within the current strategic direction and to blend the company’s continuous growth with targeted value creation and efficiency improvements.
After almost three years, Christophe Bézu steps down from his CEO position as planned and returns to the Board of Directors where he will continue to serve as an Advising Director. Mr Bézu joined the Board of Directors of ODLO Sports Holding AG in February 2015. In September 2015, he was delegated by the Board to take over the position of CEO to lead the Group through a transition phase and to return it to growth. Under Christophe's leadership the ODLO brand was successfully brought back to its sports-driven roots and to sustainable growth. By creating a new vision focusing on innovation and performance, as well as modernizing the business model, Mr Bézu has set the foundation for further success.
Knut Are Høgberg (45), joined ODLO in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and has many years of experience in strategic management and operations execution. After graduating from the Norwegian School of Management, Mr Høgberg began his professional career at the Boston Consulting Group in 1996 primarily serving their Consumer Practice. In 2007 he moved away from management consulting to become Chief Financial Officer of the Norwegian outdoor workwear and sportswear brand Helly Hansen. As CFO, Mr Høgberg had a leading role in the strategic and operational turnaround of the company. From 2013 he served as Helly Hansen Chief Operating Officer and Global Retail Director, partly based in the headquarters in Oslo and partly in the North American hub in Seattle, Washington.
