Jan van Berkel - The Berkelizer

The popular Swiss athlete JAN VAN BERKEL can already show many success stories...

Jan van Berkel, also known as "the berkelizer", was born in Switzerland but has also a Dutch citizenship. He started triathlon in 1998 and soon become successful in the short middle distance. In 2005 he finished 11th in the junior world championships in the short distance. In 2012 he switched to the long distance and won the 70.3 Ironmen in Ireland. In 2015 he was qualified for the world championships on Hawaii and two years later he finished 22nd which was a huge step into the elite group of the triathletes.

Jan's success stories: In 2017 21. place at the Ironmen Hawaii, in 2018 winning the Ironam Zürich and in the moment he is preparing again for the Ironman in Hawaii.
