Glacier-inspired design highlights climate advocacy work of brand’s key sustainability partner
(Thursday March 2, Hünenberg, CH) – ODLO – the Swiss-based performance apparel brand – is today excited to announce a two-year title sponsorship of Team ODLO X-Alp – the Annecy-based trail running team.
Made up of athletes Marine Quintard, Claire Mougel, Emilie Menuet, Benjamin Roubiol, Maxime Grenot, and Yves Heloury – the two-year title sponsorship will see Team ODLO X-Alp input on running-related projects while representing the brand at trail events.
“We’re really excited to continue this partnership,” said Emilien Bochet, the team’s manager and former professional skimo racer. “ODLO has been our apparel sponsor for years. We’re thrilled to continue to grow together and to inspire others to explore and run in beautiful outdoor spaces.”
Last season (racing as Team TSL), Team ODLO X-Alp podiumed 10 times in races including the Jura Swiss Trail and the ODLO High Trail Vanoise. Additionally, athletes placed in the top 30 at several UTMB events and elsewhere.
As participation in trail running continues to grow – up 12 per cent year-over-year globally for the last decade - ODLO is proud to collaborate with like-minded athletes that personify why the company continues to create made-for-comfort performance apparel.
With ODLO’s heritage in high-sweat endurance sports and trail running’s growing popularity, ODLO and Team ODLO X-Alp are linked through shared passions and interests and see significant opportunities to continue growing together in new directions.
“Having input from professional athletes on design is an important part of ODLO’s process,” added Shanjay Damani, ODLO’s director of marketing. “We continue to invest in brand partnerships fueled around a passion for being active, and we’re delighted to continue adding partners like these who can introduce trail running to more everyday athletes.”
This title sponsorship agreement follows the recent signing of legendary athlete Martin Fourcade as brand ambassador – two targeted sponsorships rooted in brand visibility and product development. “This is a great running community which we’re very proud to support,” added Damani.
