Trail run weekend unites real athletes, real runners and real racing in one of Europe’s truest trail arenas.
(August 3rd, Hünenberg, CH) – ODLO, the Swiss-based performance apparel brand is proud to support the Martin Fourcade Nordic festival as a technical partner.
Held in Annecy on the first weekend in September, the Martin Fourcade Nordic festival sees over 25,000 Nordic fans gather in Le Pâquier for a unique three-day programme of racing, music and entertainment. The festival kicks off on Friday with a free opening concert, headlined by renowned musician Broken Back. On Saturday international stars in cross-country skiing and biathlon take centre stage in the elite roller ski competitions, while Sunday is devoted to biathlon events for amateur athletes and children.
"When it was created in 2019, I imagined the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival as a moment of sharing for Nordic sports enthusiasts,” said event creator and legendary biathlete Martin Fourcade. “It's a great pleasure to welcome ODLO as a technical partner to help bring the festival to life and best meet the needs of the athletes."
With Norwegian heritage at ODLO’s roots and Martin Fourcade as its global brand ambassador, the company is delighted to support this amazing weekend of competition and entertainment.
“Collaborating with individuals, teams and events that share our passions and inspire more athletes to get out there and enjoy rewarding outdoor experiences is extremely important to us,” said Shanjay Damani, Marketing Director, ODLO. “We’re therefore thrilled to support The Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival, a memorable event that brings athletes together to celebrate their love for Nordic sports.”
As well as equipping the event organisers and dedicated volunteers with its performance apparel, ODLO will also be present in the festival village all weekend hosting special activities, including an opportunity to meet Fourcade on Saturday at 6pm.

Odlo, the Swiss-based performance apparel brand, has long been respected within the outdoor industry. Founded in 1946 in Norway by Odd Roar Lofterød Sr, the brand first made its mark by developing an elastic, heat-regulating suit that revolutionised cross-country skiing. Odlo then became the apparel brand of choice for twenty-five national teams at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics – including the entire Norwegian national team – who went on to win a raft of medals. Further groundbreaking innovations followed with the introduction of the first fully synthetic sweat-wicking base layer, the launch of the pioneering three-layer principle, and expansion into performance apparel for outdoor pursuits beyond Nordic sports.
