ACTIVE WARM NOMINATED FOR FAIR FASHION AWARD 2026

When people think about sustainability in fashion, they often think about small capsule collections or experimental products. We chose a different approach. Active Warm is Odlo's highest-volume product and a longstanding example of our next-to-skin expertise. Every year, thousands of people rely on it as their go-to base layer for hiking, skiing, commuting and everyday outdoor activities. If we want to make meaningful progress, we believe responsible practices need to be part of products like these, not just niche initiatives. Active Warm demonstrates how we aim to integrate fair working conditions, recycled materials and lasting quality into a product worn by people every day.

Every material choice at Odlo starts with what a product needs to deliver for the people wearing it. For Active Warm, we use 100% recycled polyester because it delivers the warmth, moisture management, durability and everyday functionality expected from a technical base layer. The recycled fibres used in Active Warm are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified, and the product is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. The black colourway featured in the award application also uses dope dyeing, a process that requires significantly less water and energy than conventional piece dyeing. Together, these choices reflect our approach: making considered improvements while continuing to deliver the comfort, quality and performance our community expects.

But above all, we believe in the product itself. Active Warm has been trusted and worn across generations. For many people, it is the base layer they grew up with. Some still own garments purchased many years ago. Others first discovered Active Warm through parents, family members or friends. That continued relevance is one of the reasons we chose Active Warm for our Fair Fashion Award application. Products earn trust over time. They become part of routines, outdoor adventures and everyday life. Active Warm has done exactly that for decades.
