Sustainability has always been a part of our heritage – grounded in durability, performance and responsibility. However, 2025 marked an important shift. After years of pilots, preparation, and reassessment, 2025 was a year of execution: strengthening our foundations, advancing long-term commitments, and translating strategy into tangible outcomes across our value chain.
In no particular order, we look back on ten moments that defined our progress below:

1. DePoly Base Layer Recycling Project
We partnered with DePoly, a pioneer in chemical recycling, to transform fabric scraps from our iconic bestselling base layer – Active Warm – into high-quality recycled PET. This breakthrough demonstrates that textile-to-textile recycling of one of our most trusted and widely worn products is possible, paving the way for Odlo’s first-ever fully circular base layer. This milestone also marks an important step in our "Close the loop" circularity ambitions. A big thank you to Innosuisse for supporting this journey through its Innobooster grant.

2. Collective Voices and POW Collaboration
In 2025, we launched the Collective Voices collection, featuring a base layer, mid layer, and ski outfit in collaboration with POW Switzerland. The print featured across the collection was taken by climate activist Filip Zuan. “Fragile Nature” comes from Filip’s own photo archive – a snowfall scene over an Engadin Lake that represents the vulnerable alpine spaces we’re all trying to protect. The collection was designed to spark conversations on the slopes, raise awareness about climate change, and share a positive message: you’re not alone in caring for the places we love. Through our ongoing partnership with Protect Our Winters (POW), we also supported the “1400 Reasons to Act” campaign during the Year of the Glacier, making Switzerland’s disappearing glaciers more visible and turning advocacy into action. Our customers have also supported POW with their generosity at the checkout of our retail stores. Through our electronic payment supplier, we activated the function to politely request our customers for a small POW donation. With every donation, there are no fees and all proceeds go directly to POW Europe. Our customers made close to 1,000 individual donations (close to 2,000 Euros) by December 2025.

3. Repair Service Now Available in All Odlo Stores
In 2025, we made our repair service accessible in every single Odlo store, making it easier than ever to keep your favourite pieces in play. This initiative is part of our ReWEAR program, which also includes take-back in all Odlo stores and resale in select locations, giving products a second life and reducing waste across our value chain.

4. Launched Care Guides for Our Products
One of the most impactful ways to reduce the footprint of sports apparel is simply to make it last longer. With the right care, your kit will perform better, stay in use for longer, and help save both money and the planet. That’s why we’ve created a practical new Care Guide - designed to help you get the best out of your Odlo gear while lowering its environmental impact across its lifetime. Because when you care for your gear, you care for the planet too.

5. Digital Product Passport Rolled Out
From Spring/Summer 2025 onwards, every Odlo garment includes a Digital Product Passport (DPP) – a QR code linking to a digital page that shares key details such as fabric composition, care instructions, and the garment’s production journey from fabric creation to dyeing process, all the way through to the final product. It also highlights the percentage of recycled content in the product. The rollout supports upcoming EU regulation, and perhaps more importantly, it reinforces our commitment to transparency, traceability and circularity across all our product’s lifecycle. We aim to add more detailed information in the future, but this lays the groundwork for future improvements.

6. From Human Rights to Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence
In 2024, we completed our first materiality assessment – a critical step in defining what matters most for Odlo and our stakeholders. Building on those insights, 2025 was about turning principles into practice. We developed our first Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) framework, updated our Responsible Business Conduct Policy to align with OECD Guidelines and Fair Wear standards, and conducted a high-level risk assessment across our entire value chain. This work may not be the most visible, but it is foundational. It helps us identify where the most serious human rights and environmental risks lie – from working conditions and living wages to climate change and chemical management – and sets the stage for a roadmap of risk-based measures.

7. Living Wage Progress
Living wages remain one of the most complex challenges in the apparel industry. Solving it requires persistence, partnership and pragmatism. In 2025, we continued to focus where we have the greatest leverage: our own production facility in Romania. Against a backdrop of inflation and rising living costs, we are monitoring wage levels closely and working to ensure that pay reflects a fair standard of living. Beyond our own operations, we know systemic change cannot happen in isolation. That’s why we joined the STS2030 “United for Fair Wages” initiative in Vietnam, collaborating with other brands and suppliers to address wage gaps collectively.

8. Strengthening Fair Wear Performance
In our latest Fair Wear Brand Performance Check, we improved our score by 19 points – a significant step toward regaining Leader status. The progress reflects stronger sourcing practices, more robust risk assessments, and deeper supplier engagement. Becoming a Fair Wear “Leader” won't happen overnight, but we are committed to making steady, meaningful progress.

9. Progress on Climate Goals
In 2025, we completed our first full emissions baseline – a critical foundation for credible climate planning. Building on that, we have submitted near-term targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation. These targets are designed to align with the Paris Agreement and reflect what is realistically achievable for Odlo, given our business model and growth ambitions. We know this journey will not be simple, and we do not claim perfection. What matters is committing to a science-based pathway and taking measurable steps forward.

10. Publishing Sustainability Report 2025
We published our Sustainability Report 2025, our first comprehensive report since 2021. It details progress across our three pillars – Make it Fair, Choose with Care, and Close the Loop – and outlines how we’re driving measurable impact for people and planet. We know there’s more to do. But we also know that progress starts with clarity and commitment. This report reflects that commitment.
2025 was about building momentum: strengthening foundations, testing solutions and aligning our business more closely with long-term responsibility. In 2026, our focus remains the same: scaling what works, addressing what doesn’t, and continuing to do the work that sustainability actually requires. At Odlo, we know that sustainability is a continuous process – and we know we can do more.
