As a former competitive athlete in cross-country skiing, I know what diligence and consistency are. Without regular training, passion and the necessary portion of heart and soul, an athlete does not get far. But away from sport. Thanks to regularity, we can develop fun in any activity in everyday life, because regularity brings consistency, practice and finally progress.

Once we master something, fun and joy are not far away. Well, to be an expert everywhere is probably too high a claim, but what is actually against it? What if, thanks to this routine, jogging, cross-country skiing, biking, playing the piano, yoga or whatever you practice regularly, suddenly went by itself?
In many human phenomenon it has been observed that it takes at least 21 days for an old mental image to dissolve and a new one to solidify. Personally, I recommend that ideally an activity should be carried out for up to 30 days before making a judgment.
Here's my suggestion: Set yourself a realistic goal. 20 minutes jogging, 30 minutes yoga or five minutes meditation. Every day. For the next 30 days, because especially in this time regularity is very important. Excuses do not count. But be warned, there will be 1000 reasons not to do something 😉.
To help you retrace your journey of change, write a diary and record how you feel about it. After 30 days, take stock. I am convinced: that you now know whether the new routine is good for you?
As a passionate yoga teacher, endurance athlete and motivator I challenge you: Do it, start tomorrow. Excuses do not count (#zeroexcuses). My suggestion for all yoga lovers, or who would like to become one:
I offer free 30-minute live streaming yoga sessions Monday through Friday at 7:00 a.m. Find a quiet place and take the first step. I look forward to welcoming you on the mat. >> Get the right outfit from ODLO!

After a long cross-country season spent skiing and competing, week in, week out, how soon should you start training again? What should you focus on?
As a professional skier, Ursina Badilatti’s days were consistent: equal parts eating, training and sleeping, the same routine, day-in, day-out. Flights, training camps and world cup events added variety, sure. But during her 15-year cross-country career, during which she earned a 3rd place finish at the Engadin ski marathon and various Swiss championship titles, her mind and body felt disconnected.
