Odlo expands repair service across Europe as part of ReWEAR circularity commitment

Program designed to “give new life to kit that’s not quite done adventuring” now available in all Odlo stores.

(Wednesday 3rd of September, Hünenberg, CH) – Following a successful pilot phase in Switzerland, Odlo, the Swiss-based performance apparel brand, is expanding its free warranty repair service to all Odlo stores. The initiative is part of Odlo’s ReWEAR program which aims to reduce waste by giving pieces a second life when they may have otherwise reached the end of the road.

“Closing the loop” with ReWEAR

ReWEAR is a critical component of Odlo’s “close the loop” sustainability commitment, which connects circular product design with a range of services aimed at extending the life of a product.

The ReWEAR program offers customers multiple ways to keep their kit in play for longer:

  • Resale - completely refurbished pre-loved gear made available for in-store purchase at a fraction of the original cost.

  • Repair – the restoration of damaged Odlo pieces operated by local repair partners through in-store customer service.

  • Take-back – the collection of unwanted sports apparel which gets refurbished for Resale or donated to a trusted organisation (Texaid).

These services help reduce waste, support circularity, and ensure customers can give new life to gear that’s not quite done adventuring.

With 77% of customers in Europe stating that they would rather repair than buy new*, the expanded repair service responds directly to consumer demand for more sustainable choices and longer-lasting products.

“By keeping clothing in use and out of landfills, we can make a tangible impact,” said Johanna Heimlicher, Sustainability Director at Odlo. “Expanding our ReWEAR repair service is an important step forward in our “Close the loop” circularity journey and our broader commitment to protecting the outdoor spaces we love.”

How it works

  • Customers bring damaged Odlo gear into any Odlo store.

  • Store staff assess the item and explain repair options.

  • Local repair partners sew, stitch, and mend items to a near-new standard.

If the product is under warranty (within two years of purchase and not customer-induced damage), Odlo covers repairs and shipping. For items outside warranty, staff can provide a quote for repair costs.

To bring this service to life, Odlo is proud to have teamed up with four trusted partners across Europe:
